Apex Legendsは2026年9月29日、PCのAnti-CheatをEasy Anti-CheatからEA Javelin Anticheatへ切り替える。Player側の基本Flowは単純で、Game UpdateをDownloadしてApexをLaunchすればMigrationは自動で行われる。最重要なのは、不要な作業をしないことだ。EAは他のJavelin対応GameでSecure Bootを要求する場合がある一方、Apex Legendsでは今回の移行にSecure Bootは現時点で不要と明言している。したがって理由なくBIOSを開き、UEFI/CSM、TPM、Partitionを変更する必要はない。一方Javelin自体はWindows 10 20H1 build 19041以降を必要とし、古いDriver、Low-level utility、Windows Insider build、Background softwareとのConflictが起こる場合がある。このGuideでは公式EA情報を安全なTroubleshooting順に整理する。
1) 9月29日に何が変わる？
EAは9月29日からApex Legends PC版のEasy Anti-CheatをEA Javelin Anticheatへ置き換える。Playerが複雑なManual migrationを行う必要はなく、Apex UpdateをInstallしGameをLaunchすれば自動的に移行する。EAは新しいThreatへのVisibilityとDetection改善のFlexibilityを高めることを目的としている。この発表はPCのCore protection layerについてで、ConsoleへPC kernel driverを入れる話ではない。EAはConsole-specific cheat向けServer-side modelやDetectionへの投資も継続すると説明する。
2) Secure Bootは必要？ Apexでは今のところ不要
混乱しやすいPointだ。他のJavelin対応EA GameにはSecure Boot Requirementがあり、一般HelpはTPM 2.0、GPT、UEFIも説明する。しかしApex公式Announcementは、今回ApexではSecure Bootは必要ないと明記する。Generic guideだけを見てSecure BootをOnにしたりDiskをConvertしたりCSMをOffにする必要はない。Zaplat Rule：Apexが起動しFirmware変更を求めるMessageがなければBIOSを触らない。将来Specific errorがSecure Bootを要求した場合だけEA HelpとMotherboard/Laptop OEM guideを確認する。
3) 本当に重要な最低要件：Windows 10 20H1以降
EA HelpはJavelinのMinimumとしてWindows 10 20H1、build 10.0.19041以降を挙げる。非常に古いWindows 10ではApex fileよりOSが原因になる可能性がある。Win+Rでwinverを実行しBuildを確認し、必要ならWindows Update。Windows 11も最新状態が望ましく、特にInsider Previewは注意。この要件を“Windows 11必須”と誤解しないこと。EAの公開Minimumには十分新しいWindows 10も含まれる。OSがMinimum未満ならGame reinstallより先にOS Updateを行う。
4) Update前の安全な準備
Windows、EA appまたはSteam、主要Hardware DriverをOfficial sourceからUpdateしてRestartする。Monitoring、RGB、Overclock、Fan control、Input remapping、VPN、Proxyを使うなら、まず最新版にする。すべて削除する必要はない。EAは古いLow-level driverやUtilityがSecurity上Blockされる場合をDocumentしている。First launchでは不要なTuning toolsを大量に同時実行しない方がConflictを見つけやすい。Apexが普通に起動したなら、それ以上“問題探し”を続ける必要はない。
5) Kernel-levelとは何か
EAは、一部External cheatがUser-modeから十分に見えないLayerで動くためJavelinがKernel componentを利用すると説明する。EAによればJavelinはProtected gameが動いている時に動作し、Game終了時にAnti-Cheat processも停止する。またJavelin保護のEA GameをすべてUninstallするとJavelinも自動Removalされるとしている。これはKernel Anti-Cheat全体の議論を終わらせるものではなく、EAが公開するBehaviorだ。Player側ではSecurityを全部Offにせず、Javelinが具体的に示すConflictだけ処理する。
6) Incompatible software/driverが表示されたら
JavelinはSecurity blocklist対象のSoftware/Driverを検出するとLaunchを止める場合がある。Messageには通常対象名が出る。まずそのComponentをUpdateしRestart。それでもBlockされるならVendor instructionに従ってDisable/Uninstallする。EAのLive listには古いRGB、Monitoring、Overclock、Hardware utility driver例があるがComplete listではなくVersionでCompatibilityも変わる。Errorに出たDriver nameをEvidenceとして使い、古いForumを見てSystem32 fileをランダム削除しない。
7) Error #41 / #701 / #119 / #95
EAは#41を一部Windows 11 Insider Preview buildの古いInsider certificateと関連付け、Latest Insider update＋Restartを推奨する。#701はWindows file-system transaction log問題の可能性があり、EAはSpecific fsutil手順を案内するので該当Codeの時だけ使う。#119はIncompatible driver。#95はUnacceptable configurationまたはUnauthorized/conflicting softwareで、一部VPN/Proxyや古いUtilityも影響し得る。Codeを先に読む。Generic fixではなくCode-specific official stepを使う。
8) Manual reinstallはいつ必要？
通常は不要。Javelin対応EA GameがAutomatic installする。Troubleshooting用Standalone installerがあり、LocalではC:\Program Files\EA\ACのEAAntiCheat.Installer.exeから操作できる。JavelinをUninstallすると必要とするGameは再Installまで起動しない。したがってUninstall/ReinstallはRestart、Windows/Client update、Conflict checkの後。Service-path errorやUpdate failedが続く場合に意味がある。複数EA GameがJavelinを使うPCではUninstall Allの影響範囲にも注意。
9) Steam / EA app Launch問題
EA HelpはEA appやSteamが古い、または他Softwareが干渉する場合にErrorが起きると説明する。一部Service errorではEA appをAdministratorで再起動し、Steam/Epic購入でもEA appから直接GameをLaunchする手順を勧める。Permanent settingではなくDiagnostic stepとして使う。順番はClient → Game files verify/repair → Windows/Driver → Conflict software → Javelin reinstall → Exact errorが要求する場合だけBIOS/Secure Bootが安全。
10) JavelinでCheatingは消える？
消えるとは言えない。EAはJavelinについて高いDetection accuracyや大量のBlocked attemptを公表する一方、Cheat methodが進化し続けるためDetectionも継続Updateすると説明する。Apexには別Layerもある。Marked Midseason notesではPC、PlayStation、Xbox、Switch 2のUnauthorized controller hardware/softwareを検出する新Systemが紹介されている。9月29日は重要なPC protection migrationだがAnti-Cheat strategy全体ではない。ImpactはLaunch当日の1Matchではなく数週間のEnforcementとMatch qualityで見る。
11) Apexが起動しない時のDecision tree
Update後に普通に起動？Playして何も変えない。Windows version unsupported？Windows BuildをUpdate。Software/Driver名が出る？Update→Restart→必要ならDisable。Insiderで#41？Insider BuildをUpdate。Service/Installer error？Restart後必要ならJavelin reinstall。Secure BootをSpecificに要求？EA HelpとOEM Documentationを読んでからBIOS。Codeがない？Game files repair、EA app/Steam update、Error screenshot保存。1回に1つだけ変更するのが原因特定の最短ルート。
9月29日Checklist
- WindowsをUpdateしWindows 10 20H1/build 19041以上を確認。
- EA app/Steamと主要DriverをOfficial sourceからUpdate。
- Apex UpdateをInstallしてLaunch。Javelin migrationはAutomatic予定。
