Apex Legends PC판은2026년9월29일 Easy Anti-Cheat에서EA Javelin Anticheat로 전환한다. Player가 따라야 할 기본Flow는 단순하다. Game Update를 받고 Apex를Launch하면Migration이 자동으로 진행된다. 가장 중요한 정보는 하지 않아도 되는 작업이다. 일부Javelin 보호 EA Game은Secure Boot를 요구하지만, EA는 Apex Legends가 이번 전환에서Secure Boot를 현재 요구하지 않는다고 명확히 밝혔다. 따라서 이유 없이BIOS에 들어가UEFI/CSM, TPM, Partition을 바꿀 필요가 없다. 반면Javelin의 일반Minimum은Windows 10 20H1 build 19041 이상이며, 오래된Driver, Low-level utility, Windows Insider build, Background software conflict는 문제를 만들 수 있다. 이Guide는 공식EA 정보를 안전한Troubleshooting 순서로 정리한다.
1) 9월29일 무엇이 바뀌나
EA는Apex Legends PC의Easy Anti-Cheat를9월29일부터EA Javelin Anticheat로 교체한다. 복잡한Manual wizard는 필요하지 않고Apex update 설치 후Game을Launch하면자동으로전환된다. EA는새Threat visibility와Detection 개발Flexibility 향상을 이유로 설명한다. 이Announcement는PC의Core protection layer에 관한 것이다. Console에PC kernel driver가 설치되는 것이 아니며, EA는Console-specific cheat를 위한Server-side model과Detection 투자도 계속한다고 밝힌다.
2) Apex에Secure Boot가 필요한가? 현재는아니다
가장 혼동하기 쉬운부분이다. 다른Javelin EA Game은Secure Boot Requirement가 있고, 일반EA Guide에는TPM 2.0, GPT, UEFI 설명이 있다. 하지만Apex Announcement는이번전환에서Secure Boot가현재필요하지 않다고 명시한다. Generic Javelin article만 보고Secure Boot를켜거나Disk conversion, CSM 변경을 하지 말자. Zaplat Rule: Apex가 정상Launch되고Firmware 변경Message가 없다면BIOS를 그대로 둔다. Specific error가Secure Boot를 요구할 때EA Help와Motherboard/Laptop OEM guide를 읽은 후 진행한다.
3) 실제로 중요한Minimum: Windows 10 20H1 이상
EA Help는Javelin이Windows 10 20H1, build 10.0.19041 이상을 요구한다고 적는다. 매우 오래된Windows 10은Apex file보다OS가 먼저문제가 될 수 있다. Win+R에서winver로Build를 확인하고필요하면Windows Update. Windows 11도최신상태를 유지하며특히Insider Preview는주의한다. 이것은Windows 11만가능하다는 뜻이 아니다. EA의Minimum은최신Windows 10도포함한다. OS가Minimum보다 낮으면Game reinstall보다OS update가 먼저다.
4) Update 전 안전한 준비
Windows, EA app 또는Steam, 주요Hardware driver를Official source에서Update하고Restart한다. Monitoring, RGB, Overclock, Fan control, Input remapping, VPN, Proxy를 쓴다면전부삭제하기보다최신Version으로Update한다. EA는오래된Low-level driver/utility가Security 이유로Block될 수 있다고Document한다. First launch에서는불필요한Tuning tool을 여러 개 동시에실행하지 않는 편이Conflict 분리에 유리하다. Apex가정상실행되면 존재하지 않는문제를 더 찾을 필요가 없다.
5) Kernel-level은 무엇을 의미하나
EA는일부External cheat가User-mode Anti-Cheat이 충분히 볼 수 없는Layer에서 작동하기 때문에Javelin이Kernel component를 사용한다고 설명한다. EA에 따르면Javelin은Protected game이 실행될 때 동작하고Game 종료 시Anti-Cheat process도 종료된다. 또한Javelin 보호EA Game을 모두Uninstall하면Javelin도 자동Removal된다고 한다. 이설명은Kernel Anti-Cheat 전체논쟁을 끝내는 것이 아니라EA가 공개한Behavior다. Player는Security stack을 전부끄지 말고Javelin이 실제로지목한Conflict만 처리한다.
6) Incompatible software/driver 메시지가 나오면
Javelin은Security blocklist의Software 또는Driver를 감지하면Launch를 막을 수 있다. Message는일반적으로 해당이름을 보여준다. 먼저그Component를Update하고Reboot한다. 최신Version도Block되면Vendor guide에 따라Disable/Uninstall한다. EA list에는오래된RGB, Monitoring, Overclock, Hardware utility driver 예시가 있지만Complete하지 않고Version별Compatibility도 달라진다. Error의Driver name을Evidence로 사용하고, 오래된Forum을 보고System32 file을 랜덤삭제하지 않는다.
7) Error #41, #701, #119, #95
EA는#41을일부Windows 11 Insider Preview build의오래된Insider certificate와연결하며Latest Insider update와Restart를 권장한다. #701은Windows file-system transaction log 문제일 수 있고EA가Specific fsutil 절차를 제공하므로실제#701일 때만사용한다. #119는Incompatible driver. #95는Unacceptable configuration 또는Unauthorized/conflicting software와 연결되며일부VPN/Proxy나오래된Utility도 영향을 줄 수 있다. Code를 먼저 확인하고그Code의Official fix를 적용한다.
8) Manual reinstall은 언제 하나
보통필요없다. Javelin 보호EA Game이 자동설치한다. Troubleshooting용Standalone installer가 있고Local 경로C:\Program Files\EA\AC의EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe도 사용할 수 있다. Javelin을Uninstall하면필요한Game은재설치 전까지 실행되지 않는다. 그래서Uninstall/Reinstall은Restart, Windows/Client update, Conflict check 뒤에 둔다. Service-path error나Update failed가 계속될 때 더 적절하다. 여러EA Game이Javelin을 쓰면Uninstall All의 영향도 확인한다.
9) Steam / EA app Launch 문제
EA Help는EA app 또는Steam이오래됐거나다른Software가 간섭할 때Error가 생길 수 있다고 설명한다. 일부Service error에서는EA app을Administrator로 다시열고Steam/Epic 구매Game도EA app에서 직접Launch하도록 제안한다. 10) Javelin이Cheating을 완전히 없애나

Marked midseason notes는PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2의Unauthorized controller hardware/software를 감지하는 새System을 소개한다. 9월29일은 큰PC protection migration이지만Anti-Cheat strategy 전체는 아니다. 11) Apex가 안 열릴 때Decision tree
Update 후 정상Launch? Play하고아무것도바꾸지 않는다. Windows version unsupported? Windows Build update. Software/Driver명이 표시? Update→Restart→여전히Block이면Disable. Insider에서#41? Insider Build update. Service/Installer error? Restart 후필요하면Javelin reinstall. Secure Boot를Explicit하게 요구? EA Help와OEM Documentation 확인 후BIOS. Clear code가 없으면Game files repair, EA app/Steam update, Error screenshot 저장. 한 번에한 가지씩 바꾸는 것이 원인파악에 가장 빠르다.
