League of Legends TR vs EUW vs EUNE: choose a server before paying to transfer

League server comparison for TR, EUW and EUNE: ping, playing with friends, 2600 RP transfers, 90-day cooldown, ranked impact and Zaplat gamer profiles.

League of Legends TR vs EUW vs EUNE: choose a server before paying to transfer

Choosing a League of Legends region is not the same as choosing the language of your client. Turkey (TR), Europe West (EUW) and Europe Nordic & East (EUNE) are distinct game regions, and your friends, connection route and account history all affect which one makes sense. The most expensive mistake is transferring just because someone says one ladder is easier, only to discover your regular duo plays elsewhere. This comparison uses Riot's regional-server and account-transfer documentation, including the currently listed 2600 RP transfer fee and 90-day cooldown, then explains why correctly listing your server in your Zaplat Gaming profile can make a community introduction more useful.

Quick answer: the right region is the one your actual team uses

If your regular duo and friends play on EUW, an account in Turkey will not necessarily allow you to join their same League matchmaking queue. If they are all on TR, switching to EUW just for a reputation about competition may create a practical problem with little benefit. EUNE is a separate option too. Consider the account progress you already own, whether you mostly solo queue, the language you share with teammates and the network performance you can actually measure. No region wins every category for every player. If you play with a settled group several nights each week, count those actual sessions before accepting a claim that a different ladder is more prestigious. Real opportunities to play together are more valuable than a forum argument.

What TR, EUW and EUNE actually mean

Riot lists Turkey, Europe West and Europe Nordic & East as independent League of Legends server regions. These are account and gameplay regions, not a preference for Turkish or English menus. A globally recognized Riot ID does not silently move your League account to another region. Riot describes the need for an account associated with the intended League region when playing there. You can share the same launcher for different regions, but patching and account association remain separate issues. Check the active game region rather than guessing from nationality. An event organizer cannot match teams reliably when everyone writes only Europe. Specify EUW or EUNE and confirm the account's true League region instead of inferring it from language or country.

How to confirm your account's current region

Review your Riot Client's League settings and region or patchline indicators where available. Riot's support material can help if your account appears on the wrong website or you are unsure which region holds your progress. Never let a stranger sign in to 'check your server' or give anyone your password and one-time email verification code. A team needs to know whether you play on TR, EUW or EUNE, not your credentials. Write the actual region code before responding to a team-finder post. A teammate needs your region, preferred role and availability, never your password or account recovery email. Keep social coordination separate from access to sensitive credentials, even when someone claims to manage a team.

Does EUW always have lower ping than TR?

No. Riot explains that regions relate to real server and network infrastructure rather than geopolitical borders alone. Distance can matter, but ISP routing, local Wi-Fi, packet loss and congestion change the result. A player in Istanbul, Paris or another city cannot reliably predict their exact latency from a public table; there is no honest universal 'EUW is 30 ms' number. Judge real stable latency at the times you usually play, and watch for spikes and lost packets instead of focusing only on a favorable average. Measure the connection during your real playing hours. A midday check can look perfect while busy evenings produce jitter and packet loss, making an average ping number alone a misleading comparison.

Check connection quality before buying a region transfer

Test when the home network is not being overloaded by downloads, and prefer a stable wired link when practical. Track the time of day and whether a match suffered jitter or packet loss. Do not pay for random 'zero ping' services or assume a VPN changes the physical distance to Riot's infrastructure. If you lack an eligible account on the other region, ask local players about their experience and review Riot's region rules. Creating an alternate account is a separate decision governed by the game's terms, and a new character collection will not automatically appear. If lag starts whenever another device uploads large files on your home network, troubleshoot that network before spending RP on a region move. A transfer cannot fix an overloaded router.

Why playing with friends changes the calculation

Having a friend in your contacts does not automatically grant cross-region League matchmaking. Riot ties accounts to a game region and says playing in another one requires an account linked there. Confirm the exact region codes for your regular teammates before agreeing on ranked sessions. Even when the region matches, individual ranked queue eligibility and the selected mode can impose other restrictions. Region compatibility solves one problem; it does not promise instant matchmaking or a guaranteed duo invitation. Ranked eligibility can impose conditions beyond sharing a region. Check the chosen queue and both accounts inside the client, and be truthful about rank and schedule in your team-finder messages.

Transfer pricing: what does Riot currently charge?

As checked in October 2026, Riot's Account Transfer FAQ lists a one-way transfer at 2600 RP. That is a documented current support-page amount, not a guaranteed permanent price. Confirm the client Store amount before paying; transfer promotions may occasionally include restricted free tokens for eligible accounts. Compare the cost against keeping your existing main account and starting a separate permitted account if necessary. This is not a recommendation to avoid account restrictions, nor does it mean new accounts keep your champions and skins. Treat 2600 RP as a purchase made for a durable reason. A main account built over years should not be moved because of one vague invitation from someone you do not yet know.

The 90-day cooldown and mistakes you cannot undo

Riot's FAQ says a transferred account cannot be transferred again for 90 days. The support page also says accidental transfers cannot simply be reversed or refunded. This makes 'move tonight, come back tomorrow' a poor plan. Confirm both your original region and the exact target code before buying, check destination eligibility, and think about where your team will play over the coming months. Transfer availability may temporarily stop when the target region is still applying a major patch. Waiting 90 days does not make a return transfer free. Moving back can require another eligible paid transfer, so consider your friends on the original server before committing.

Ranked placement and account content after a transfer

Riot lists many transferred possessions such as champions, skins, account level and various currencies, but your current ranked placement does not arrive unchanged. You will play placement matches in the destination region, and the comparison of MMR to that region's population may affect the initial tier. Some Clash-related records and other specific items do not transfer, so reading the full Riot table matters more than a blanket 'everything transfers'. Never buy a transfer on the assumption that your rank badge or all event progress will be preserved identically.

What should a new player choose first?

Begin with the people you want to play with rather than online arguments about which ladder is more prestigious. If your group already meets on TR, opening the correct region from the start avoids paying to follow them later. The same applies to EUW and EUNE. For mainly solo players, prioritise consistent connection, an accessible community and realistic account progression. A player's ranked outcome depends on decision-making and play, not on a guarantee that switching regions suddenly makes the climb effortless.

Set the correct League region in your Zaplat profile

Zaplat Gaming's player-profile interface allows you to select League of Legends as one of your games. Once selected, the game exposes a required 'League of Legends server' field. Enter TR, EUW or EUNE as appropriate rather than an ambiguous 'EU', so the information is meaningful when your gaming interests are reviewed. A tournament-interest checkbox is a statement of interest, not automatic enrollment in a tournament or a live matchmaking algorithm. The private experience note is visible to its owner and administrators, so do not assume it is a public recruitment post.

A five-question pre-transfer decision check

First, is your destination region eligible for your account? Second, do real friends or a stable team already play there? Third, does your network perform well when you are online? Fourth, have you accepted what happens to ranked placement and non-transferring content? Fifth, are the RP price and 90-day transfer lock acceptable to you? If a key answer is unknown, postpone the purchase. Meet people who actually share your region in a gaming community first, and perform any eventual account transfer only through the official Riot client.

Can a TR League account directly duo with EUW?

Do not assume cross-region League queues; the accounts need to be associated with the intended game region.

What is the current transfer price?

Riot's FAQ lists 2600 RP at the time of this guide; check the live Store before purchasing.

Will I lose all my champions and skins?

Riot lists many items that transfer, though ranked placement and some specific records do not carry over.

Does switching language change server?

No. Region is a gameplay-account setting, not just client language.

Does setting EUW on Zaplat register me automatically?

No. The profile region field and interest indicator do not automatically enter you into a tournament.
