Baron Rammus is on a real deadline. Riot says the skin will go into the vault in Patch 26.20, while the official 2026 patch schedule currently lists 26.20 for October 7, 2026, Pacific Time. Riot also changed how Classic Skin Chromas are distributed by unifying them with their associated Base Skins.
When does Baron Rammus go into the vault?
Patch 26.18 says Baron Rammus will go into the vault in 26.20. Riot Support’s 2026 schedule lists Patch 26.20 for October 7, 2026, Pacific Time.
That is the current patch boundary, not a guaranteed universal storefront cutoff minute. Riot warns that patch dates can change, and it has not published one exact removal hour for every region.
What does vaulting mean here?
The change is about future availability, not existing ownership. Players who already own Baron Rammus keep the skin. Riot’s notes do not promise a return date or a fixed future acquisition window after 26.20.
Is Baron Rammus discounted?
Yes. Riot says the skin is available at a discounted price until it enters the vault. The written patch notes do not list one universal numeric price, so the in-client store is the best source for the actual amount on your account and region.
What changed with Classic Skin Chromas?
Riot says it is no longer selling Classic Skin Chromas as standalone products. Instead, each Classic Chroma is being unified with its associated Base Skin.
Riot’s stated reason is to avoid awkward ownership cases where a player bought the Classic Chroma and later bought the Base Skin, effectively paying twice across two tightly linked products.
What if you own only the Classic Chroma?
This is the key ownership rule: Riot says players who purchased only the Classic Chroma will receive the associated Base Skin for free.
Do you need to claim the free Base Skin?
Riot describes this as a grant and does not mention a mission, code or manual claim button. If an eligible account does not receive the expected Base Skin after the rollout is complete, Riot Support is the appropriate next step.
Who is not promised extra compensation?
Riot specifically addresses chroma-only owners. The notes do not promise extra RP, refunds or duplicate rewards for players who already own both the Classic Chroma and its Base Skin.
Is Baron Rammus the same compensation case?
No. The Baron Rammus notice appears in the same Classic systems section, but Riot does not describe Baron Rammus as a free grant. Treat them as two related changes: Baron Rammus is being vaulted, while chroma-only owners receive the matching Base Skin.
What Riot has not confirmed
- An exact worldwide storefront removal hour for Baron Rammus.
- A guaranteed future return date for Baron Rammus.
- One universal RP price in the written notes.
- Extra compensation for accounts that already own both pieces.
- A manual claim mission for the free Base Skin grant.
What should you do before Patch 26.20?
- If you want Baron Rammus, check the in-client store before patch day.
- Verify the current discounted price on your own account.
- If you own only a Classic Chroma, do not buy the matching Base Skin just because of the old product structure; Riot says eligible players receive it free.
- Re-check Riot’s patch schedule close to October 7 because dates can move.
- If a qualifying Base Skin grant is missing after distribution, contact Riot Support before making a duplicate purchase.
