EA SPORTS FC 27's Web App and Companion App let you manage Ultimate Team away from the game: the Web App runs in a browser, while the Companion App runs on iOS and Android. Most confusion comes from treating three separate questions as one: can you use the app, are you signed into the correct FC 27-linked EA Account, and do you have Transfer Market access on Web/Companion? Those are related, but they are not the same permission.
Web App vs Companion App
The Web App is the browser-based Ultimate Team management site. The Companion App is the mobile version for iOS and Android. Both let you manage your Club away from FC 27; the practical difference is browser versus mobile app.
How to log in correctly
- Open the FC 27 Web App or install the Companion App from the official mobile store.
- Sign in with the same EA Account you use to play FC 27 on PC or console.
- Confirm that the correct Ultimate Team Club and squad load.
- If the wrong Club appears, verify the platform-linked EA Account before resetting or changing unrelated settings.
Key FC 27 app dates
EA says the FC 26 Web App went offline on September 11, 2026. The FC 27 Web App opened on September 16, and the FC 27 Companion App opened on September 17. From September 17 onward, the Web and Companion Apps are available only for FC 27.
The November 7, 2026 login requirement
After November 7, 2026 at 11:59:50 PM UTC, EA requires you to have logged into Ultimate Team in FC 27 on PC or console at least once to continue using both apps. If you have been managing everything from a phone or browser, open the full game and enter Ultimate Team before the deadline rather than waiting for access to stop.
Who qualified for early access?
EA tied early access eligibility to the most recent FC title you played. Its published requirements include having logged into Ultimate Team and created a Club in FC 26, FC 25 or FC 24 on your platform before August 1, 2026, while keeping the account active and in good standing.
App access does not guarantee Transfer Market access
You can successfully load your Club in Web/Companion while the Transfer Market remains locked there. EA says players without automatic Market access on the apps need to earn access by playing Ultimate Team. Seeing your squad is therefore not proof that Search, Bid and Buy Now should already work.
Returning-player Market eligibility
EA says returning players may qualify for FC 27 Web/Companion Market access if the EA Account is in good standing and they had previously earned access in FC 26 before August 1, 2026, FC 25 before August 1, 2025, or FC 24 before August 1, 2024. Previous play helps, but it is not a blanket guarantee for every old account.
New players: what is Graduated Access?
For new FC players, EA uses Graduated Access inside Ultimate Team. Complete The Journey Begins to unlock First Team Dreams, complete First Team Dreams to unlock Rising Through the Ranks, then complete Rising Through the Ranks to unlock the in-game Transfer Market and Champions access path.
How long after the Objectives does the in-game Market take?
EA says full in-game Transfer Market access can arrive within 48 hours on PC or 24 hours on other platforms after the required Objective Groups are completed. During that wait, you may be able to list Items but still be unable to Search, Bid or Buy Now until the waiting period ends.
Important: Graduated Access is not Web/Companion Market access
EA explicitly says completing Graduated Access does not automatically unlock Transfer Market access in the Web and Companion Apps. The in-game Market and Web/Companion Market permissions have separate access logic, so finishing the Objectives is necessary for a new player's in-game progression but not a guarantee for the apps.
What to do when the Market is locked on the app
- Confirm that you are using the correct EA Account.
- Enter Ultimate Team in FC 27 on your main PC or console and play normally.
- If you are new, finish the Graduated Access Objective Groups for in-game access.
- Keep using Ultimate Team legitimately while the account earns Web/Companion eligibility.
- Do not expect reinstalling the app or switching devices to bypass an eligibility requirement.
Locked access vs a Transfer Market ban
EA displays explicit messages when an account is banned from the Transfer Market on Web/Companion or banned from the Market more broadly. If the message references a rule violation and a ban, check the email linked to your EA Account for details. That is different from simply waiting to earn access.
Does an FC 26 Market ban carry into FC 27?
EA distinguishes a title-specific Transfer Market ban from a franchise ban. A Transfer Market ban from FC 26 does not carry directly into FC 27, but automatic access may not return and you may need to earn access again. A franchise ban carries across the FC series and can affect Market access in FC 27.
Login problems: diagnose the account before the app
If Web/Companion does not show the Club you expect, first confirm the EA Account linked to the platform where you play FC 27. EA directs players who are unsure of their account to recover the correct email or password. Changing random app settings cannot fix signing into the wrong account.
Checklist before November 7
- Launch FC 27 on PC or console.
- Enter Ultimate Team at least once with the same EA Account used by Web/Companion.
- Confirm the correct Club loads in the Web App.
- Open Companion App and verify the same Club.
- If the Market is locked, separate Market eligibility from general app login.
- If you are new, complete Graduated Access in game.
- Protect the EA Account with two-factor authentication if it is not already enabled.
- Do not leave these checks until November 7 itself.
Use the apps as management tools, not autopilot
