1. When does GTA VI release?
The current official release date is November 19, 2026. Rockstar announced the date after an earlier delay and said the additional time would allow the team to finish the game with the expected level of polish. Treat any different date as unconfirmed unless Rockstar changes it directly.
2. Which launch platforms are confirmed?
Rockstar’s current purchase and support pages list PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The platform page does not list a PC version among the current preorder platforms. That does not tell us what Rockstar may do later; it simply means there is no PC launch date in the official launch information used for this article.
3. Standard or Ultimate Edition?
Rockstar confirms Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition. An Ultimate Edition Upgrade will also be sold separately for Standard owners, so the more expensive package is not the only path to those extras.
4. When can you preload?
Digital preorders can begin preloading on November 12 at local midnight. That gives players a week to download the game before the November 19 launch instead of beginning the full transfer on release day.
5. Does the physical version include a disc?
Rockstar’s support page says the physical version, available starting November 12, contains a download code inside the box and no disc. That detail matters if you are specifically buying “physical” because you want optical media.
6. What preorder bonuses are confirmed?
Rockstar lists the Vintage Vice City Pack for eligible preorders and purchases before November 20, while eligible digital preorders also include one month of GTA+ under the published terms. Check the current store page before paying because edition and storefront packaging can change how bonuses are presented.
7. What is GTA VI: The Album?
On September 17, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album with Atlantic Records. It launches on November 19 alongside the game, contains 34 original tracks, and the first six singles were released early on major music services. Rockstar is presenting it as an official album tied to the sound and world of Vice City and Leonida.
8. What should still be treated as unconfirmed?
- Any PC release date that does not come from Rockstar.
- A final feature list for a future GTA Online experience unless Rockstar publishes it.
