Worlds 2026 attendee guide: dates, venues, bag rules, cameras and re-entry before you travel

League of Legends Worlds 2026 runs October 15 to November 14 across Los Angeles, Allen and Brooklyn. Here is the practical attendee guide to updated start times and CUTX/Barclays bag, camera, cosplay and re-entry rules.

Worlds 2026 attendee guide: dates, venues, bag rules, cameras and re-entry before you travel

If you are traveling to the League of Legends World Championship 2026 in the United States, “where and when?” is no longer the only planning question. On September 22, Riot published updated Worlds venue policies plus revised start times for several stages, and the rules are not identical between the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen and Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Worlds itself runs from October 15 through November 14: Play-Ins at Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, Swiss plus Quarterfinals and Semifinals in Allen, then the Final in Brooklyn. This guide is about the decisions that can ruin or simplify your day at the door: which bags fit the policy, what camera gear can enter, whether re-entry is allowed, how cosplay props are handled and which restrictions change with the venue or stage. The biggest mistake is assuming one arena’s policy applies to the entire tournament.

Three cities, three parts of the tournament

Riot’s official Worlds update places Play-Ins at Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles from October 15–18. The tournament then moves to Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, just north of Dallas, for Swiss on October 23–26 and October 28–31, followed by Quarterfinals November 3–6 and Semifinals November 7–8. Barclays Center in Brooklyn hosts the Final on November 14. This geography matters because Riot’s September 22 venue-policy article gives detailed attendee rules specifically for CUTX and Barclays. It does not present those same detailed restrictions as a Los Angeles policy. If you are attending Play-Ins, use the Riot Games Arena instructions attached to your ticket or event communication rather than copying the Texas or New York bag limits into your plan.

Updated start times: refresh your calendar

Riot adjusted broadcast start times for selected Worlds stages, so an old screenshot can now be wrong. Play-Ins in Los Angeles start at 11:00 AM PDT. Texas Swiss matches on October 23–26 begin at 12:00 PM CDT, October 28–30 begins at 3:00 PM CDT, and October 31 returns to 12:00 PM CDT. Quarterfinals and Semifinals from November 3–8 begin at 4:00 PM CST after the local daylight-saving transition. The New York Final on November 14 begins at 2:00 PM EST. Those are Riot’s September 22 listed start times, not recommended arrival times. Security screening, ticket scanning and queues can take additional time, so arriving at the posted match start means you may already be late to your seat.

Bag rules: Texas and Brooklyn are not interchangeable

At CUTX, the published policy allows small bags under 4.5 × 8.5 inches and medium clear bags under 14 × 14 × 6 inches. Prams and buggies are not permitted, and the venue cannot store personal belongings. Barclays uses a different limit: bags larger than 10 × 6 × 2 inches or hard-sided bags are prohibited, with no bag, coat, pram or buggy check available. Barclays makes exceptions for medical requirements or special needs and asks guests with medical or special dietary needs to contact Guest Services before attending. If you are following Worlds from Texas to New York, do not assume a bag that passed one checkpoint will pass the next. The simplest travel strategy is to use the smallest practical soft bag that comfortably fits the stricter day you plan to attend.

Re-entry changes by date—even inside the same Texas venue

CUTX allows re-entry with a wristband from October 23 through October 31. That permission ends for the Quarterfinals and Semifinals on November 3–8: re-entry is not allowed during those knockout dates. Barclays does not allow re-entry for the Final at all. That means stepping outside to retrieve something from a vehicle can end your in-venue day depending on the stage. Because outside food and drink are also listed among prohibited items, plan medications, essentials and meals around the venue policy before clearing security. The useful rule is not “CUTX has re-entry”; it is “Swiss dates at CUTX have wristband re-entry, knockout dates do not.” Always plan around your exact ticket date.

Cameras at Barclays: phones are the practical exception

Barclays has the clearest camera and recording rules in Riot’s policy. Professional cameras and cameras with interchangeable lenses are prohibited, along with monopods, tripods, gimbals, flashes, selfie sticks and interchangeable cellphone lenses. Professional or personal audio/video recording devices such as GoPros and handheld recorders are also prohibited. Cell phones may be used for personal recording unless the event directs otherwise, but unauthorized livestreaming or broadcasting to social platforms from professional or personal devices is strictly prohibited. For a creator attending the Final, that means a phone used within the personal-recording allowance is very different from arriving with a production rig. Event staff retain authority to inspect or restrict devices that do not comply.

Cosplay and props at Barclays: the measurements actually matter

Cosplay is welcome at the Final, but the Brooklyn policy is specific. Full or partial face coverings, including face paint that prevents recognition, are not allowed, and attendees must maintain unobstructed vision. Maximum costume dimensions are listed as 1.2 meters wide, 1.8 meters long and 2.4 meters tall. Costumes must safely navigate stairs, ramps and walk-through metal detectors, and the wearer must be able to sit without blocking other spectators. Armor cannot have sharp edges, spikes or bladed surfaces; metal and wood costumes are prohibited. Sword or bladed props must be blunt, lightweight and non-metallic. Firearms, air guns, cap guns, realistic replicas and bows are prohibited. Prop firearms must be foam or light plastic and clearly non-functional. Worbla and 3D-printed props are allowed only if they satisfy the same weapon restrictions.

Signs, banners and flags have different size limits

At CUTX, the maximum banner, sign or flag size is 60 × 60 cm. At Barclays, the maximum is 11 × 17 inches. They must be event-related, lightweight, small enough for one person to hold and must not block other guests’ views; poles and sticks are not allowed. Riot’s posted policy prohibits commercial messages or logos, political or regional/separatist content, national or country flags or endorsements, offensive or obscene language, and graphic depictions that could offend or embarrass attendees. Barclays also prohibits LED signs. Each attendee may display only one banner, sign or flag under the posted guidelines. If you are making a supporter sign, build to the actual venue limit rather than copying something you saw at a previous esports event.

Common prohibited items: what is better left at the hotel

The CUTX and Barclays lists share many restrictions: fireworks, laser pointers, smoke canisters, bottles, glass containers and cans; outside food or beverages; drones; whistles, air horns, electronic noisemakers and vuvuzelas; projectile or throwable items such as beach balls and frisbees; bats, clubs and selfie sticks. Riot’s Worlds policy also lists laptops, tablets and computers among prohibited items for the two detailed venues. Pets are not permitted except recognized service animals. Barclays additionally names weapons such as pepper spray, knives and tasers, illegal drugs/substances, lighters and fire starters. Because neither venue offers general storage for rejected belongings, the safest approach is not to bring borderline gear “just in case.” Security and local authorities retain discretion over items considered unsafe or disruptive.

Age rules, flashing lights and being filmed

CUTX requires guests under 14 to be accompanied by an adult aged 19 or older; children under two do not need a ticket. At Barclays, children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older, while attendees under 18 are strongly encouraged to attend with a parent or legal guardian. Both venue-policy sections warn that the event uses strobe lights, flashing lights and other visual effects that may affect people with photosensitive epilepsy or other light sensitivities. Riot also includes a shoot notice: Worlds is a live broadcast event, and attendees may be captured on film or video, with their image and likeness potentially used in tournament coverage and related marketing. If that matters to you, read the official shoot notice before relying on a ticket purchase as your only source of terms.

Ticket sales opened months ago—do not confuse sale dates with current availability

Riot’s ticket announcement opened Fan First registration in June, Fan First presale on July 22 and general admission on July 24. Those dates are now historical, so this guide does not claim that a particular session is still available or sold out. Current availability and price depend on the official ticketing flow at the time you check. Start from the LoL Esports ticket page or Riot-linked seller rather than an old screenshot of a presale window. Also confirm the exact stage: a Swiss ticket in Allen is not a Quarterfinal, Semifinal or Final ticket, and the venue policy can change even when the physical arena stays the same.

Worlds 2026 attendee checklist

  • Confirm the city, stage and date before booking travel or accommodation.
  • Use Riot’s updated stage start time, not an old saved schedule.
  • Measure your bag against the specific venue policy; CUTX and Barclays use different limits.
  • Do not bring a laptop, tablet, selfie stick or professional camera setup to CUTX/Barclays.
  • If cosplaying for the Final, check Barclays dimensions, materials and prop restrictions.
  • Never assume you can re-enter: CUTX knockout dates and the Barclays Final prohibit it.
  • Use Riot-linked ticketing and verify live availability when you purchase.
  • Contact Barclays Guest Services in advance for medical or special dietary accommodations.
  • Allow time for security and queues rather than arriving at match start.
  • Recheck Riot and venue policy pages shortly before the event in case rules change.
