Worlds 2026 updated start times: full stage schedule from Play‑Ins to the Final

Riot updated the Worlds 2026 broadcast start times. Here is the official Play‑In, Swiss, Knockout and Final schedule, plus the daylight-saving trap viewers should avoid.

Worlds 2026 updated start times: full stage schedule from Play‑Ins to the Final

If you saved a Worlds 2026 schedule from an older announcement, check it again before setting alarms. Riot published updated broadcast start times on September 22 while keeping the tournament’s stage dates intact from October 15 through the November 14 Final. The practical complication is that Worlds moves through three U.S. cities and three time-zone contexts: Play‑Ins in Los Angeles, Swiss and Knockout in Allen, Texas, then the Final in Brooklyn, New York. Writing “11 AM” or “4 PM” without the time-zone label is therefore not enough. This guide puts Riot’s revised times in one place, separates stage dates from broadcast start times, and explains why international viewers need to watch daylight-saving changes during the event instead of applying one fixed conversion for the whole month.

The full Worlds 2026 stage calendar

Worlds begins October 15 and ends November 14. Play‑Ins run October 15–18 in Los Angeles. Swiss takes place October 23–26 and October 28–31 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen. Knockout stays in Allen, with Quarterfinals November 3–6 and Semifinals November 7–8. The tournament then moves to Barclays Center in Brooklyn for the November 14 Final. Because the event crosses Pacific, Central and Eastern time zones, the city change is part of the schedule—not a cosmetic detail.

Play‑Ins: 11 AM PDT

Riot’s updated schedule sets the Los Angeles Play‑In broadcast start at 11:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time. The stage lasts October 15–18. Do not carry that 11 AM number into later stages: Worlds leaves Pacific Time after Play‑Ins. A schedule screenshot that drops “PDT” can become misleading as soon as it is shared internationally.

Swiss has three different start-time blocks

Swiss does not use one fixed start time. October 23–26 begins at 12:00 PM CDT. After the break, October 28–30 begins at 3:00 PM CDT. October 31 returns to 12:00 PM CDT. This is exactly why a single “Swiss starts at…” line is incomplete. The date and time have to stay paired.

Knockout switches to 4 PM CST

Quarterfinals and Semifinals remain in Allen, but Riot lists November 3–8 at 4:00 PM Central Standard Time. The label changes from CDT during Swiss to CST during Knockout because the U.S. daylight-saving transition occurs between those stages. If you build a manual calendar, store the zone with the date rather than copying only the clock time.

The Final: 2 PM EST in New York

The Worlds 2026 Final is November 14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with the broadcast starting 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. That is a new city and a new U.S. time zone. Do not reuse the Allen conversion for the Final; Riot publishes the New York start separately.

Why your local conversion can change during Worlds

The official schedule can remain correct while your local equivalent changes. Europe ends daylight saving during the tournament, and the United States moves from daylight to standard time before the Knockout Stage. That means the offset between your city and the U.S. venue can shift between stages. Zaplat Gaming therefore does not recommend one blanket conversion for every date. Use the exact date plus Riot’s listed zone, or let the live LoL Esports schedule convert it on your device.

Broadcast start is not necessarily doors open

Riot calls these the “Updated Worlds 2026 Start Times” and explicitly frames them as broadcast start times. They should not be treated as venue entry times or a guarantee that Game 1 begins at the exact same second. In-person attendees should follow their ticket and venue instructions; online viewers should use the broadcast start as the reliable anchor.

What did not change

The September update changes selected broadcast starts, not the broader structure announced earlier. Worlds still runs October 15–November 14 with 19 teams; Play‑Ins are in Los Angeles, Swiss and Knockout are in Allen, and the Final is in Brooklyn. Riot announced the cities and stage dates in March, then published the updated clocks in September.

A safer way to set reminders

Create separate calendar blocks for each phase instead of one recurring Worlds alarm. Save Play‑Ins with PDT, Swiss with its two noon blocks and one 3 PM block in CDT, Knockout with CST, and the Final with EST. On every match day, check LoL Esports once more for the locally rendered time. This avoids two common mistakes: using an outdated post and using a conversion that was right before a daylight-saving transition but wrong afterward.

What about exact matchups?

Broadcast start times are fixed earlier than every team pairing. The daily matchups continue to depend on qualification, Play‑Ins and Swiss results. If your question is “who plays whom today?”, use the live LoL Esports schedule. This article intentionally locks down the stable information that Riot has already confirmed: stage dates, host cities and updated broadcast starts.
