Silent Hill: Townfall is now available after its September 24 launch, and its biggest change is immediate: this is the first full-length Silent Hill game presented entirely through the protagonist’s first-person view.
The CRTV replaces the classic radio idea
The handheld device can be tuned to reveal nearby enemy positions and provides a DualSense haptic pulse when a new threat is close.
A tighter field of view changes fear
First-person framing and the 2.35:1 aspect ratio restrict what you can see, making sound and off-screen threats more important.
Combat and stealth feel closer
Players can block with improvised objects, hide in cabinets, lean around corners and run when fighting is a bad choice.
Motion aiming is optional
DualSense motion controls can be enabled for firearms and thrown objects.
