LoL Arena 26.19 guide: 13 new Augments, Ivern/Senna/Thresh Guests and key balance shifts

Patch 26.19 gives Arena 13 NEW Augments, three new Guests of Honor—Ivern, Senna and Thresh—and meaningful champion balance changes. Here is what actually changes your decisions.

LoL Arena 26.19 guide: 13 new Augments, Ivern/Senna/Thresh Guests and key balance shifts

Patch 26.19 is much more than a pre-Worlds Summoner’s Rift update if you play Arena. Riot added three Guests of Honor—Ivern, Senna and Thresh—moved a large set of ARAM: Mayhem Augments into Arena, and introduced two creator-collaboration Augments, Death Dealer and Got That Dog In Em. The official Arena section lists 13 Augments marked NEW in total. At the same time, several strong Arena specialists were nerfed while underperformers such as Aphelios, Elise, Ezreal, Lee Sin and Zeri received meaningful help. You do not need to memorize every number to benefit from the patch. What matters is understanding which mechanics now change positioning, revive timing, resource control and your Augment draft decisions.

Why 26.19 matters specifically for Arena

In Patch 26.17 Riot said Arena had reached a more stable state and would move back toward an alternating cadence, with balance updates generally targeted at odd-numbered League patches. Patch 26.19 shows what that cadence can look like: it is not just a numerical pass. It adds new draft options, new round-wide rules through Guests of Honor, champion tuning and a system adjustment. Regular Arena players should treat it as a real meta update rather than background patch noise.

The three Guests of Honor change the map, not just stats

Ivern: whenever a team loses a round, a brush spawns at each member’s location and remains for the rest of the game. Repeated fights can therefore reshape the arena and raise the value of brush interactions and vision breaks. Senna: three portals to the Death Realm open, and anyone can enter, then use any portal to return to the living realm. That creates escape, flank and isolation routes that normally do not exist. Thresh: while downed, you throw a Lantern to allies every 8 seconds. Allies near it receive a shield, and anyone can click it to be pulled toward the downed player. A state that used to be mostly passive can now become a positioning tool.

Death Dealer is a strategic isolation tool

Death Dealer replaces Flee. Activating it on a target champion sends you into the Death Realm for 4 or 8 seconds depending on level, and you are invisible for the first 2 seconds. At Max Level, killing the target grants your team another revive and delays the victim’s revive by one second. That means its value is not simply 'more damage.' It is strongest when your champion can reliably win a short isolated duel or when disrupting the opposing revive cycle has high value. Champions that require constant peel or teammate setup may find the isolation dangerous instead.

Got That Dog In Em creates a contested resource

Every 3 seconds this Augment spawns a nearby hot dog. Anyone can pick it up, causing them to breathe fire. Enemies who pick it up can damage their own allies, and if the carrier dies while breathing fire they explode for magic damage based on stacks. The key word is anyone: the resource is not automatically yours. Positioning around the spawn and controlling who reaches it can matter as much as owning the Augment.

The Mayhem imports worth understanding first

Archmage refunds 30% of another random ability’s cooldown based on the ability you cast, rewarding champions that cycle spells constantly. Crit N Cast grants Ability Haste equal to 40% of Critical Strike Chance, opening hybrid build logic. Hellbent builds Revivemaxxing stacks up to 10; at full stacks lethal damage triggers resurrection, then a 15-second empowered window with Adaptive Force, movement speed toward enemies and Omnivamp. Nature Is Healing restores health when you enter brush, with a separate 10-second cooldown per brush patch—an obvious interaction with Ivern’s Guest effect. Rite of Ascension turns takedowns into an Essence that can blink you, heal you and reset basic ability cooldowns. Shark Bait creates a zombie phase and ends with a shark knock-up. Sonata alternates automatic healing/shielding and movement-speed support.

The rest of the new Augments define very different builds

Surge Field creates a zone when you cast your ultimate. Inside it you gain 50 Ability Haste and 40% bonus Move Speed, and champion damage launches bonus-magic-damage missiles. Titan’s Resolve rewards sustained champion combat with Juggernauting stacks; every 10 stacks grants Adaptive Force, Armor/MR, size and Tenacity. Warlock Juicebox converts Ability Power into Omnivamp. Wee Woo Wee Woo increases movement speed toward wounded allies and scales your healing/shielding with the target’s missing health. These are not universal power picks: each one is good only if your champion repeatedly satisfies its condition.

The buffs most likely to revive weaker Arena picks

Aphelios received three direct base-stat scaling improvements: Health Growth 102→114, Attack Damage Growth 2.3→3.3 and Move Speed 325→330. Elise’s Cocoon cooldown drops dramatically to 8–6 seconds from 12–10, while Skittering Frenzy drops to 10 seconds from 12. Ezreal’s Mystic Shot cooldown refund rises from 1.5 to 2.5. Lee Sin’s Safeguard AP ratio increases from 80% to 120%. Neeko’s secondary Blooming Burst AP ratio doubles from 25% to 50%. Zeri gets a higher Q attack-damage ratio and a better E refund. Those are changes that can alter how often a champion gets to execute their Arena pattern, not just tiny tooltip bumps.

The nerfs that make old tier lists less reliable

Bel’Veth loses a large amount of Arena-specific power: Royal Maelstrom on-hit/attack effectiveness falls from 12–24 to 8–16, while her ultimate passive bonus-AD ratio falls from 3 to 1. Dr. Mundo’s E health ratios are reduced. Lillia’s passive percentage max-health damage falls from 4% to 3%. Ornn’s discounts are reduced, Rammus gets a longer Q cooldown, Rell steals fewer stats, Sion and Veigar gain fewer stacks, and Zed loses Q bonus-AD ratio while his W cooldown increases. None of this automatically makes those champions bad, but it cuts the Arena-specific advantages that older rankings were built around.

Existing Augment changes can matter more than the flashy additions

Angel of Retribution’s Health Scaling Ratio rises from 350 to 450. Chroma Flux moves from Prismatic rarity to Gold, which changes draft economics. Giant Slayer loses damage across all three ranks. Protein Shake’s Base Health Scaling rises from 15 to 25. Scavenger doubles its Gold from 500 to 1000. Spellcraft improves from a 15-second cooldown to 10 and from 100 Base Damage to 150. If your existing build already depends on one of these, the practical impact may exceed any brand-new option.

A small system line that is huge for Energy users

Maximum bonus Energy Regeneration based on missing health increases from up to 100% to up to 400%. It does not automatically make every Energy champion top tier, but it meaningfully changes how resource-starved you become when low on health during extended fights. If you play Zed or another Energy-dependent champion, relearn the late-fight rhythm before trusting old muscle memory.

A better way to draft Augments after 26.19

Instead of asking 'what is the strongest Augment?', use three filters. First: can your champion trigger the condition repeatedly? Titan’s Resolve needs sustained exchanges; Nature Is Healing needs reliable brush access. Second: does the current Guest of Honor increase the option’s value? Ivern changes brush availability, while Senna changes the importance of mobility and isolation. Third: does the Augment solve a real build problem or duplicate something you already have? Death Dealer can look spectacular, but if your composition needs peel rather than isolated duels, the downside may outweigh the ceiling.

Arena 26.19 checklist

  • Ivern creates permanent brush after a team loses a round.
  • Senna opens three Death Realm portals usable by anyone.
  • Thresh gives downed players a Lantern every 8 seconds.
  • The patch notes list 13 Arena Augments marked NEW.
  • Death Dealer replaces Flee and isolates a target in the Death Realm.
  • Got That Dog In Em spawns a hot dog every 3 seconds and enemies can take it.
  • Recheck Bel’Veth, Mundo, Lillia and Zed builds after nerfs.
  • Aphelios, Elise, Ezreal, Lee Sin, Neeko and Zeri received meaningful buffs.
  • Scavenger now gives 1000 Gold instead of 500; Spellcraft is faster and stronger.
  • Low-health bonus Energy Regeneration can now reach 400% instead of 100%.
